Magnificent Mannu - Cannot recommend Mannu enough!

Arriving into Delhi from the UK as three girls was daunting and overwhelming. With Zahid’s help, all the stress was taken out of the journey- with accommodation, driver, guides and transfers arranged for us.

The tour allowed for flexibility whilst giving structure. Our whistle stop tour included many sights in Rajasthan including a camel safari, tiger safari and multiple stunning heritage hotels where we experienced amazing service.

Mannu was our driver and main highlight of the trip. Throughout he gave us recommendations, prevented us being mislead and translated for us. Most importantly he insured our safety. We felt secure and relaxed with Mannu (which is saying a lot in India). He is reliable, trustworthy, respectful and fun. Despite warnings of Delhi belly, with Mannu’s food suggestions we didn’t get sick once! We were confident in his impressive navigation and driving on the otherwise hectic roads. He took us to places, and showed us insider experiences, that we would not have had without him. Mannu made our trip an unforgettable experience and allowed us to feel safe in an otherwise unfamiliar country. We cannot thank him enough for his endless patience and guidance. Dhanyavaad malik!

Having a driver in Rajasthan meant that we could be flexible and stay an extra night/leave earlier from places that we liked more/less. This was smoothly facilitated by the Travel India One Day staff who were open to suggestions and made adaptations to our itinerary as requested.

We had a limited amount of time and wished to concentrate our travelling by seeing as much as possible. Having initially intended on using public transport (and doing this for the first few cities), we opted for a driver to maximise flexibility and convenience. We would recommend this to others who have a short amount of time to see the beautiful Rajasthan. Naturally, this option is more expensive than organising a trip ourselves but the price was reasonable and reflected the quality of services provided. Hotels were largely comfortable and pleasant, with some exceptional heritage stays.

Overall, we would recommend TIOD and particularly Manu’s excellent driving services.

  Favourite part was our driver manu!! Good guy and felt safe with him. It was a good way to travel round india if you are looking to stay safe.

With how busy and hectic Delhi can be, he arranged for a private... read more car to pick us up from the hostel at 2am, we could nap in the car. We got to Taj at 5.45 to watch the sunrise and was amazing.

A guide was waiting for us with our tickets and took us in and told us about the Taj Mahal. We then had an included buffet breakfast at an amazing restaurant.

The driver took us back to Delhi airport for a flight he booked for us to take us to Srinagar. We then stayed on the house boat he recommended and it was amazing.

The price initially was too high for our budget (as we are travelling for 6 months) and we compromised with Harpreet and the tour plan to find a tour and price that worked for us.

The tour included a sleeper train from Delhi to Varanasi, after 2 nights in Varanasi, a sleeper train on to Agra. At this point our driver Shakir Sheikh Moh collected us and remained with us for our journey to Ranthambore and then to Jaipur.

Hotels and transport all ran smoothly with hotels allowing us to check in early when needed.
Our driver Shakir was great throughout and we cannot recommend him enough. We learnt through our time in India that trusting others can sometimes be a problem but throughout Shakir informed us of scams and looked after us from start to finish.

Throughout the whole tour Harpreet kept in touch to ensure things were running smoothly.
We are really glad we decided to book the tour as it has allowed us to see so much in a short period of time and for a reasonable price for the service we received.
